Yes, on the plans that include the AI agent. It uses the same business facts and switches as on WhatsApp (the workspace switch, each chat’s switch and your AI hours), replies in plain text only while the 24-hour window is open, and is paid from the same prepaid AI wallet.
Text, and one photo per message (JPEG, PNG or GIF, up to 8 MB); videos and files can be received but not sent from Fliok. Instagram does not let a business message someone first, and a reply is only possible for 24 hours after the customer’s last message.
Chatbot flows and welcome and away messages run on WhatsApp only. The AI’s follow-up does run on Instagram: one nudge to a customer who went quiet, only inside the 24 hours after their last message. Instagram has automations of its own: a DM when someone comments a keyword on a post or during your Live, keyword replies and a welcome to DMs, answers to story replies and story mentions, ice breakers, and Link to DM.
An ig.me link to your account with a short code of your own on the end, made in Instagram automations. Put it in your bio, an ad, a QR code or a WhatsApp message: whoever opens it gets the DM you set straight away, with a link button, quick replies or cards if you like, and the chat carries on in this inbox. Each code runs one automation, so different links can send different replies.
The AI hands the chat to your team and stays out of it, as on WhatsApp. A chat you have paused for the AI stays paused.
