WhatsApp error 130429
Error 130429: Throughput limit reached
Error 130429 means you are sending faster than your number’s Cloud API throughput allows. Nothing is wrong with the messages. Slow down, retry after a short wait and spread large broadcasts out.
- Meta’s description
- “Cloud API message throughput has been reached.” Meta’s error codes, 5 October 2026
- Charged by Meta?
- No. Meta charges only for delivered messages, and this one was not delivered.
Common causes
- A large broadcast or API batch sent in one burst.
- Several systems sending from the same number at once.
How to fix it
- Wait and retry later, or send less often.
- Queue sends and pace them instead of firing them all at once.
What Fliok does about it
- Fliok treats 130429 as temporary and retries automatically, up to five attempts with growing gaps.
- Fliok’s own throughput limiter paces outgoing messages; a send it holds back is queued again, not counted as failed.
Meta sets and changes these codes. If anything here disagrees with Meta’s current reference, Meta is right.
No. 130429 is about speed, how many messages per second. The messaging limit is about how many people you can start conversations with in a period.
