WhatsApp error 132012

Error 132012: Template parameter format mismatch

Error 132012 means a value you sent does not match the format the template was approved with. The most common case is a template with an image, video or document header sent without that header file: the file is needed on every send, not only at approval. Send the header media, or the right type of value, every time.

Charged by Meta?
No. Meta charges only for delivered messages, and this one was not delivered.

Common causes

  • A template with an image, video or document header sent without the header media.
  • Header media of the wrong type, such as an image for a video header.
  • A parameter of the wrong type for what the template defines.

How to fix it

  • Attach the header file on every send of a media-header template.
  • Match the media type to the template’s header.
  • Compare each parameter with the template’s definition.

What Fliok does about it

  • When Fliok has the template’s header file from approval, it attaches that file to every send automatically.
  • When it does not, Fliok refuses the send up front and says the header file is required, instead of letting Meta fail it.
  • In a broadcast report these failures are grouped as “Header file missing or the wrong type”.

Meta sets and changes these codes. If anything here disagrees with Meta’s current reference, Meta is right.
