WhatsApp error 132000
Error 132000: Template variable count mismatch
Error 132000 means you sent a template with more or fewer variable values than the approved template has. Send exactly one value for each variable, in the right part of the template (header, body or button), and it will go.
- Meta’s description
- “The number of variable parameter values included in the request did not match the number of variable parameters defined in the template.” Meta’s error codes, 5 October 2026
- Charged by Meta?
- No. Meta charges only for delivered messages, and this one was not delivered.
- Shown in Fliok analytics as
- “Param count mismatch”
Common causes
- A missing or extra value for a {{variable}}.
- Values in the wrong part, such as body values sent for a header variable.
- An integration still sending an older version of a template whose variables changed.
How to fix it
- Compare the request with the approved template and send one value for each variable.
- After editing a template, update everything that sends it.
What Fliok does about it
- Before a template goes to Meta, Fliok checks its variables: a blank one, or one with a line break, a tab or four spaces in a row, is refused with an error that names it, on the API and in the worker.
- It shows as “Param count mismatch” in the analytics failure breakdown, and it does not set off an alert for each message.
Meta sets and changes these codes. If anything here disagrees with Meta’s current reference, Meta is right.
A button with a variable, such as a dynamic link, needs its own value. Count every variable in the header, body and buttons.
